Requirement
The client required a solution to send patient data, scan reports, doctor's reports, and prescriptions from all their 600+ locations. The data file sizes needed a minimum of 5 to 15 Mbps for each branch location.
Challenge
While the client was using wireline and wireless as a redundancy method, they faced connectivity issues in remote locations where no primary wireline or wireless connectivity was available. The radio frequency last mile method was also proving to be a big problem.
Solution
Mobile Aggregated Broadband
Viva provided 4G SIM broadband, in combination with 2 WAN and 2 SIM ports, which was used as a solution for the client. Features of the solution include:
- Mobile SIM Broadband with Viva's SD-WAN solution to provide connectivity in remote locations.
- A centralised Gateway Monitoring facility in HQ allowed for an easy link up/down status monitoring.
- Read access is enabled for the hub-and-spoke centralised monitoring system, providing easy access to data.
